Responsibilities
Welcome and seating guests, in a friendly and professional manner.
Maintaining the dining area in a clean and presentable condition
Ensure crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
Ensure that customers are correctly charged as required, present the bill and take payment from the customer in accordance with the procedures of the hotel.
Assist in food/beverage cost control, control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock taking as required.
Prepare meal set-up as per meal service.
Be totally familiar with the composition of the menu items for the day before start of meal service.
Qualifications
Have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality.
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a restaurant.
Good oral and written communication skills (English& Swahili).
Must have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
He/she should be a good team player.
Must have excellent customer care skills.
Willing to learn and very flexible.
