Job Title: Business Development Manager – Pharmacy/ Medical Sales,

Industry: Pharmaceuticals,

Location: Nairobi,

Gross Salary: Competitive, 

Our client in the Pharmaceutical Industry and they are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to spearhead the sales and distribution of pharmaceutical products, non-pharmaceutical products and medical equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing of drugs and non-pharmaceutical supplies.

Opening up new markets and distribution channels for our products and market survey.

Head, monitor, evaluate and recruit a sales and marketing team.

Assist the Pharmacist in monitoring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products, non-pharmaceutical products and medical equipment.

To have wide network across the country for sales and distribution of our products.

Should have strong knowledge of legislation and professional code of practice.

To assist the Pharmacist in ordering drugs/medication and pharmaceutical supplies.

To assist the Pharmacist in quality testing and pharmaceutical supplies.

Supply of prescribed drugs to customers.

Assist in registration of drugs with legal entity.

Sourcing for drugs/Medication and non-pharmaceutical supplies.

Assessing the strength or purity of medication.

Monitor, review and evaluate the quality or effectiveness of drugs in the market.

Assist in the tendering process.

 

Key Requirements: 

Bachelor degree (or higher) in Science, Sales or related field.

A degree or equivalent qualification in Sales and Marketing or related field.

Minimum 5  years’ experience in Pharmacy/Medical Sales.

Proven sales success record within a pharmacy/medical company with excellent understanding and an in-depth knowledge of the market and the changing environment.

Strong time management skills and self motivation skills.

Able to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines under minimal supervision. 

Have a valid driving license: be able and willing to travel across the designated regions.

Strong organization skills including time management and 

Strong commercial understanding with intellect and curiosity with minimal supervision

Proactive and assertive with strong relational and networking skills.
