REPORTING TO THE HEAD OF MARKETING

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This role is responsible for creating visual communications to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner. The role will also be

responsible for the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics, logos, layout and photos.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design graphics for use in media products such as magazines, labels, advertising and signage for our brands

Study the design briefs and create engaging graphics out of it; design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports,

advertisements and other communication materials

Meet with brand owners to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like

Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications

Create these materials by hand or using technology and computer software programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and more

Determine size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material as well as font style and size

Produce drafts for review by clients and make revisions based on the feedback received

Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect client specifications

 

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a relevant field from a recognized institution

EXPERIENCE

2 years’ experience in graphic design work

 

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo editing software

Exceptional creativity and innovation

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Accuracy and attention to detail

Professional approach to time deadline

Excellent communication skills

Demonstrated team skills

Ability to make decisions independently
