Lead the design process for packaging materials for products, including brainstorming, sketching and creating prototypes
Stay abreast of consumer, market trends and competition for packaging materials and to ensure brands and packaging are constantly up to Company’s standards and customer audience with a clear ability to deliver impact on the market
Evaluate design briefs received to understand requirements and budgets.
Conceptualize and execute creative print design ideas, including visuals for packaging and trade marketing by collaborating with all stakeholders internally to create eye-catching designs
Liaising with suppliers and service providers to ensure proofs are of good quality and in line with production specifications
Ensure projects are delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner
Redesigns prototypes based on feedback
Key skills and competencies
Degree/diploma in Design, Fine Arts or related field
Prior experience as a Graphic Designer as well as a strong portfolio of sample projects preferably agency experience (marketing, design or advertising)
Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, photography, and more.
Proven experience designing packaging preferably in FMCG
Good knowledge of tools such as (but not limited to) the Adobe creative suite and 3D design software
Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced sales environment
Strong oral, written communication & presentation skills.
Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale.
Team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
Must love working with people and cross cultural teams
You have a good understanding of packaging health and safety regulations
