Top Accountabilities

Day to day direction and management to ensure effective functional effectiveness of all installed facilities

Providing for a safe and balanced work environment through appropriate systems to supervise and mitigate against workplace risks

Providing for effective management of plant and equipment maintenance through an effective planned maintenance system

Development and maintenance of effective facilities  maintenance plans to guarantee serviceability and proper asset care, infrastructural availability and efficient operations

Ensure Implementation of Food safety, Quality, Environment and Safety Management Systems according to FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS 18001 requirements respectively.

Ensure  Processes deliver intended outputs and there is effective implementation of any identified corrective and preventative action

Involvement in the evolution of facilities Capex proposals and monitoring implementation to ensure alignment to company engineering policies, fitness for purpose, provision of parts and training of maintenance personnel, integration with existing installations and compliance with EHS requirements

 

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Qualifications:

Graduate degree or HND in Civil engineering with 10 years experience.

 

Experience & Skills:

5 Years’ experience in civils engineering field preferably building services and maintenance.

In-depth knowledge of construction and facilities maintenance.

In depth knowledge of material science.

Vast knowledge of civil engineering standards and regulations of kenya.

Process auditing skills.

Detailed knowledge in safe system of work, permitting and SFIP Protocols.

Knowledge of CMMS- SAP application

Process knowledge would be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of computer packaged such as CAD would be key.

Analytical problem solving techniques.

Understanding of process control and performance measurements.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 & OHSAS 18001 standards plus any other management systems that may apply.
