Job Description

Title: Assistant Manager – Serviced Apartments, 

Industry: Hospitality,

Location: Mombasa,

Reports to: General Manager and indirect report to Managing Director,

Gross Salary: 50-60K,

Our clients are a serviced apartments firm in Nyali, Mombasa. They seek to recruit an Assistant Manager with an excellent level of commercial awareness and relationship management. The Assistant manager will be responsible for the full operational status of the apartments in line with the set standards & procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the full operational status of the apartments.

Support and work with Head Office and Directors in all aspects of running the apartments

Ensure standard operating procedures implementation and check the same during routine operational checks. 

Inspecting all apartments on a daily basis for cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff grooming & hospitality culture.

Monitor & co-ordinate departments for smooth & efficient operations.

Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction and service recovery process.

Monitor and maintain operational & overheads cost in order to maintain maximum revenue to the organization.

Assist in the preparation of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Data capturing in the company system on regular basis and preparing the necessary report for the purpose of decision making.

Prepare and present reports to the General Manager/ Directors on a regular basis

Be available on call 24 hours a day to resolve any emerging problems or emergencies at the apartments

Any other duties assigned.

 

Skills & Qualifications

Degree in Sales and Marketing, Tour and Travel or Hospitality Management related course from a recognized university.

4 years relevant working experience.

Minimum age of 30 years of age and above

Experience working with budgets, P & L’s and forecasting

working knowledge of computer applications.

valid certificate of good conduct.

Fluency in English, Swahili and at least one foreign language.

Holders of Firefighting Certificate, First Aid among other short courses certificate will have an added advantage.

Excellent revenue management and generating skills.

Knowledge of social media marketing

Impeccable Leadership and management skills.

Excellent Interpersonal, communication skills and a pro-active nature.

Good Problem solving ability with a keen eye for detail
