Reporting to the Head, Brand & Marketing Communications this position is responsible for the brand messaging and communication for KCB Group products and services. The job holder will help grow brand awareness, build the company profile, and protect the organization’s overall brand reputation.
Work with the various business segments, both commercial and non-commercial, to develop annual brand communication strategies and plans, that can be easily across the group.
Develop and promote brand content, vision and strategy, to include visual identity, tone and creative guidelines for the KCB Brand across the Group.
Translate company goals and marketing objectives into clear creative strategies and memorable content storytelling, developing thought leadership content for product demand generation.
Develop unified, segmented and differentiated innovative communication themes to reinforce common and market-oriented messaging to increase brand recognition across the Group.
Liaise with agency partners as needed and work cross-functionally with creative, product houses, sales and Group Strategy functions to ensure consistent, timely and impactful messaging that aligns with the strategic business goals, and KPI’s set for the various functions.
Align brand communication and content strategy with key business objectives and marketing priorities, working closely with Business and Integrated Marketing functions to align the brand communications and other marketing activities.
Oversight the research and production of traditional and digital content that promotes and elevates the brand authority and brand promise.
Work with integrated marketing teams to inspire new ideas and approaches for brand communication ensuring strategic and brand alignment and illustrating connections between messages and benefits to customers.
Work with business marketing and corporate communication teams to profile audience demographics and scope their information needs to ensure timely and appropriate targeting and positioning of brand communications for impact. Additionally, regularly monitor and analyses competitive communication and competitive product activities.
Identify, profile, and manage risks associated with brand communications.
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
University degree from a recognized institution in Communications/ Public relations/Journalism or related field.
A professional Certification in Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism.
At least 8 years' experience in a related role, with at least 8 years' experience in Brand and Marketing Communications.
At least 5 years' experience in journalism, advertising, or communications, Multimedia management, Brand/ Marketing management, Agency management and Stakeholder management.
At least 3 years' experience in Project Management and Market & Research Analytics
